"Join the smartest minds in the identity and personal data community as together we roll out the new generation of assurance service programs for the GDPR and eID (eIDAS) era. Taking the work in Kantara’s innovation groups ( UMA,Consent, OTTO and IRM ) and leveraging this in Kantara’s Connected Services shows Kantara’s model in full circle from innovation to discussion to work to service.

as a combo or separately, over-arched by - delete phrase

assured using Kantara's Trust Frameworks and other emergent policy perspectives like IRM 2.0, will see Kantara Europe ignite large-scale changes in how personal data is protected and shared.

Why Now?
Mandatory implementation of GDPR is a forcing function for Information sharing, Blockchain, new authentication technologies and person-directed access authorization technologies that can be enabled through Kantara's work.

Join us and learn how these many elements have come together in Kantara and enviable list of liaisons to deliver operational rules and tools for:

- Person controlled information sharing and smart contracts (JLINC, UMA, BSC DG, CIS WG)
- Personal Data Ecosystem development (Digi.Me, PDEC, IRM WG, others)
- Open Notice and Personal Data Receipts (CIS WG, Digital Catapult, Open Consent Group, others)
- New approaches to Federation in the OAuth era (OTTO WG, IAWG)
- New era Trust Frameworks for digital identity and personal data under GDPR and eID
- The incubation of the digital identity professionals association"

Getting there?

Let's close it out this coming week.

OK, I think we are starting to get there with this shopping list.

I agree that PD and GDPR have a much higher profile in the EU. That is where so much of our PD folks hail from..

I don't know if IRM's latest paper will be ready in time but if it was, Ken's suggestions that flow from that would work.

Do we know what comes after the BSC report? Is there a clear favourite piece of work shaping up?

And we will have UMA of course, of course....

Next Gen TF will be still too immature I think.. we could socialise it tho'.

We are getting close to putting a single sentence to wrap around it now.

Information sharing in light of GDPR, Blockchain, new authentication technologies and person-directed access authorization technologies as enablers.

Many elements have come together over several years and mandatory implementation of GDPR is a forcing function that will ignite large-scale changes in how personal data is protected and shared.

Kantara efforts on:

- Information Sharing Agreements (JLINC, CIS WG)

- Personal Data Ecosystem (Digi.Me, Meeco, IRM, others)

- Consent Receipts (Open Notice, CIS WG, Digital Catapult, MyData, others)

- Person-controlled information sharing (UMA)

- Smart Contracts and Blockchain as enabling technologies (BSC DG)

- New approaches to increase automation in Federation scenarios (OTTO WG, IAWG)

- Trust Frameworks.next / Digital Identity (TBD)

Pick your favourites - GDPR and Blockchain are hot at Kuppinger Cole this year. Layer on top of that "Life Management Platforms" (a.k.a. Personal Information Management Systems/PDS plus UMA-ish) which has been hot for a few years there. And also consumer-facing technologies.

What about:

Topic: Integrating & Securing the Internet of Things => IRMWG - Principles of IRM

Topic: Delivering Value to the Connected Customer: Finding the Right Approach Towards Consumer IAM => UMAWG

Topic: Creating Business Value, Increasing Resilience: Next-Generation Identity-Based Security => IDPRO (might seem like a stretch but I believe employing ID Professionals to design, develop, and implement ID based service delivery solutions is one way of creating business value)

Joerg and the team at Kuppinger Cole are on our tail already, wanting us to confirm our workshop and the content for it.

As those who were there last year know, it was a full house.. so he's trying to work logistics to see if we can have a bigger room.

Can we start building out some themes, reflective (or not) on the conference themes here:

My sense is that we have plenty to play with ..
